PreHoliday Pampering - Mani/Pedi

We're going away for a few days on Monday, so after finishing work for SIX weeks (not that I'm excited or anything ;)) after a loooong, busy, stressful term, last night ended perfectly with a little pre-holiday pampering whilst relaxing, watching a bit of Big Brother.. :)
So, I thought I'd share my favourite with you all my current mani/pedi products for super soft hands and feet and strong, healthy nails.

So I started my pamper evening with a long soak in the bath and gave my hands and feet a good scrub with my Soap & Glory Scrub 'Em & Leave 'Em body scrub..

I smoothed my feet in The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion (£3.00/£8.00) which hydrates, cools and leaves my feet feeling smooth and soft. I use this lotion often as I love the fresh, minty smell and it helps to keep my tootsies nice and soft. With being on my feet the majority of the day, running around after children at work, lots of walking, then evenings full of housework, I feel it important to look after my feet and keep them feeling soft! I then smothered my hands in Monu Hand & Nail Cream (£10.95) I LOVE this stuff, I carry it round with me in my handbag, it's especially good for me to apply halfway through the day at work to keep them soft, particularly after washing my hands a lot. It has a nice, spa like smell and my hands always feel nice after using it. I really like Monu as a skincare brand, definitely a favourite of mine!

I then made sure my nails were clean by using my The Co-operative Nail Varnish Remover (95p) and Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (£4.99), before using my The Body Shop Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil Pen (£7) to condition and tidy the cuticles on my toe and finger nails. I love this little beauty, its a quick and easy way to look after my cuticles, by simply brushing on the oil before using the hoof stick on the end, which is rubber so is nice and gentle, to push the cuticles back.

I used my Glossybox Mini Nail Files to file and shape my toe and finger nails before buffing and smoothing with a buffing cube.

Once my nails were prepped, I used Patons Nail Hardener (£2.00), as I always do when doing my nails, as it helps keep them strong and prevents them from breaking. I then smothered my feet in The Body Shop Hemp Foot Protector (£10). I'm a big fan of the Hemp range, although it doesn't smell too great, they work wonders, and this heavy duty foot cream is no exception, my feet always feel amazingly soft afterwards and it is good to know that it also works as a protector and moisture barrier to my feet and nails.

I then finished my routine by painting my nails with.. wait for it.. Rimmel Pro Matte Finish Top Coat (£4.59) This is my little beauty trick, that I stumbled upon by accident a few months ago. I was reaching for a base coat when I accidentally picked up my matte top coat, but found that using a matte coat on my nails BEFORE applying my nail colour, left a clean, smooth base for my nail polish. It's the perfect primer for my nails and works amazingly well as a base coat - honestly give it a go! So I finished my mani/pedi with the matte polish ready for when I paint them on Sunday eve. Then smoothed some Avon Foot Works Overnight Renewing Foot Cream (£4.75) before bed. Sorted.

I love a good pamper evening - what products do you use to keep your hands and tootsies looking and feeling fab??
