Beauty | Rituals Magic Touch Body Cream

I do love Rituals. It's such a classy, luxurious brand. With a price tag to accompany it.
After using, and loving, a sample of their Magic Touch Body Cream in a beauty box a while ago, I decided to treat myself to a full size pot during a little shopping haul back in August [read more here

Rituals say...

'Ultra rich, whipped body cream
  • Special technology makes this whipped cream easy to apply, while its rich and velvety formulation nourishes the skin.
  • Unique blend containing antioxidants, Vitamin E and the ingredient Centella Asiatica, which helps strengthen your skin.
  • The natural ingredients of Rice Milk and Cherry provide a wonderfully sweet and creamy fragrance'

I love a body butter, I grab handfuls of the stuff every day after my bath. If I'm honest, it seemed a lot less 'whipped' than the sample tube I used previously, I remember it being air-whipped, mousse-like and feeling amazing, which is what sold it for me. Yet the full size body cream didn't, more your usual, every day body butter feel.
Yes it is easy to apply - check - but aren't they all?
Yes it is rich and velvety and nourishes the skin - check - it's a lovely, thick, creamy formulation that moisturises my skin well and my skin feels super soft after use.
It doesn't leave any residue and is non-greasy, although it does take a little while to sink into my skin, so I have to give it a little while before I can dress, which is a bit of a pain if I'm in a rush.
I love the fact that it contains antioxidants and other yummy, natural ingredients to help strengthen my skin - big plus points for me!
It does smell sweet and creamy, fresh and not too overpowering - a natural, clean fragrance which allowed me to use it on Bradley a few times too, without him worrying he'd smell too much 'like a girl!' :)
It lasted me just over a month, but that's pretty normal for a body butter of this size.

Would I Recommend It?
Yes, it's a lovely luxurious body cream - it would make a lovely gift. If you prefer a body butter that smells natural and refreshing and allows your skin to feel soft and healthy, pick one of these beauties up!

Would I repurchase?
It's a little on the pricey side, so it's not something I'd purchase regularly, but as a little treat now and again.

Rituals Magic Touch Body Cream, is available in Rituals stores and online at, at £17.00 [200ml].
